Welcome to the Life Rough Draft, the podcast where I attempt to answer the following question: How do you create a life that feels fulfilling to you in your 20s?

My name is Lucy and I grew up in Costa Rica, the eldest daughter of two industrial engineers. After graduating with a bachelor's in biomedical engineering from UNC Chapel Hill in North Carolina, I've been working in the biotechnology industry for the last three years. Since graduating college, I have accomplished everything I set out to achieve since high school.

However, as time has gone by, I've realized that I am not happy and I am not fulfilled. My whole life I've been wanting to help people to make a positive impact in the world. Yet deep inside me, something tells me that this isn't it. This realization has prompted me to start asking myself the question.

How can I build a life that feels fulfilling to me in my 20s?

Since the beginning of 2023, big changes have happened that have forced me to stop going with the flow and truly reevaluate my life.

The next couple of months and years will be interesting as I embark on a journey to create a fulfilling life in my 20s. Although my aim is to answer a serious and complex question, I'll do my best not to take life so seriously.

I have no idea what I'm doing, and honestly, likely neither do you, but perhaps we can learn a thing or two together.
